How the Morton System Works:

The Morton 27000 grain water softener operates using ion exchange technology, which is the industry standard for effective water softening. As hard water passes through the mineral tank, calcium and magnesium ions (the minerals that cause water hardness) are exchanged for sodium ions from the resin bed.
